George L. Albright

imageGeorge Albright is Vice Chairman of Speer & Associates, Inc. (S&A) with responsibility for the overall direction of S&A’s business activities and consulting engagements worldwide. A founding partner of S&A, Mr. Albright is a recognized expert in the electronic banking industry, having assisted financial institutions and service providers in strategic development, corporate identity, operations, marketing and technology evaluations resulting in a wide range of successful business ventures.

Mr. Albright has worked extensively with numerous U.S. and international financial institutions in the development of retail banking strategies and plans. For these clients, he has prepared evaluations of call center operations, electronic banking programs, asset and liability product plans, consumer and small business marketing assessments, delivery channel strategies and overall retail banking profitability evaluations. His experience also includes extensive branch network strategic development. This support has ranged from branch locational planning, sales management and facility design to customer service enhancement and merchandising programs.

Before the formation of S&A, Mr. Albright held executive positions with American Express / Payment Systems Inc. where he managed internal and external consulting assignments, including strategic evaluations of major credit card programs, analyses of EFT technical and marketing developments, and evaluations for marketing program implementation in U.S. and international markets.

Mr. Albright previously held marketing and product management positions in commercial banking. His accomplishments included management of statewide ATM programs and debit card activities, pioneering off-premise ATM development, and innovative EFT sharing arrangements. Mr. Albright holds Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Drexel University.

Mr. Albright regularly contributes to leading international publications on marketing and EFT issues, emphasizing the impact of e-commerce development, marketing, branding, and automated payment services. He has often served as an industry spokesman for ATM, POS and EFT issues and developments, including the impact of technological innovation, consumer behavior, and the changing financial services environment.
